It was very touristy, but very well done. If I had been a kid, I would've LOVED every single minute of it. It was the Connor Prairie for castles. So cool. It about killed me that Bennett was just a baby and I couldn't buy him swords and jousting toys and knights and such. [sigh]

Day 15, Warwick Castle
On Friday, we got up early, packed a lunch, and headed about an hour south to Warwick Castle. Kc had really wanted to see more castles vs. manors, so Jackie and I ever so sweetly obliged him and went here for a day.

Part of the castle walls
Bennett likes to take pictures too! :)
Our little group photo
Oh, to be a princess in a castle ... actually, it wouldn't be that fun ... walking around on uneven pavement in cumbersome dresses, with heels and how how cold it would be in the winter! Ugh.
Finding a shady and out of the way spot to feed the baby
They had a trebuchet that they actually used once a day. Kc LOVED this part of it.
If you look closely, you can see the ball of fire that is preparing to launch out if the arm of it.
See it? The fireball flying across the sky?
It was a beautiful day and a fun adventure in England.

Very cool! We weren't too far from here, and considering going. I had heard it was very touristy (like you said) and thought maybe it wouldn't be worth it because of that. Instead we just stayed at Warwick House B&B. :) If we get back, we'll have to try to get here.
