He was so ready

Grant has been showing signs of being ready for solid foods. I've just been lazy and pretending that I can't see him watching us eat and even opening his little mouth at times when we are eating. When B was this age, I was constantly worried about his caloric intake and never knowing if he was really getting enough to eat. Grant, well, Grant is another story. There's NO question in my mind that this little guy gets enough his quota of daily calories. Gotta love a fat, breastfed baby! :)

I also didn't want to deal with the change in poop. Isn't that awful? I've been postponing the introduction of solids because I didn't want to deal with icky poop. Such a terrible mother.

Well, the time came a few days before his 6 month birthday to introduce rice cereal to the wee lad. He LOVED it! He was all about it, even grabbing my hand and bringing it to his mouth so he could get some of the yummy goodness. Precious.

I can't believe my sweet baby is growing up so fast!!
