I'm not going to lie. It's been so challenging to truly be a stay-at-home-mom. To not have the ability to go or do the things that I would like to do when I would like to do them. To be home bound unless a lot of effort has been made to get our car. Feelings of being trapped. Loneliness. Isolation. General grumpiness. I've told myself that others have done it and continue to do it -- to be a one-car family. If they can do it, so can I. And I have. But I've struggled and recently haven't had the happiest disposition about it all. It's been hard.
But, the time has finally come where we feel like we can afford and keep up with a second vehicle. And so on Saturday, my dream came true - I got my own set of wheels!!
We went out looking not totally expecting to drive home in a new-to-us car. However, we went to one dealership hoping to check out vans we had seen online and were told that they had already been sold. Then the salesman said that he had an '02 Sienna with only 57,000 miles. What?! It was in our price range and we thought, sure, why not take a look?
It's so great! Leather interior. Sun roof. DVD system. Hardly looks used. Power sliding doors.
I'm so excited. Such a huge answer to prayer. I feel like sunny days are ahead for me. Hopefully. Anyone up for a playdate?? :)
