Alphabet Wall
When we decided to switch the rooms around in our house and create a "boy's room", I began scouring the internet for ideas. Thankfully, around this time I also discovered the wonders that is Pinterest. (can I get a hearty "Amen"!!) I created a board for the boy's room and started pinning away. In my pins, I found myself being drawn to these amazing alphabet walls I was seeing. So incredibly cute!
Since I have zero original creative thoughts on my own, I decided I should just copy these ideas and go for it. I didn't know where or how to get started so I put off making the wall. Then my mom decided to come visit for a week this summer and wanted us to do some project while she was visiting. The alphabet wall came up in discussion and it was decided that we would be creating the wall during her stay.
I began collecting letters from various places and formulating my ideas. Mom showed up and we set off to start making my alphabet wall.
The finished project!
B was freaking out when we hung the letters the other day. He calls it "his letters" and his favorite letter out of the bunch is the letter "P". I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't making this for visitors coming to my house or for people to tell me how creative and talented I was - no, I was making this for a little boy who loves the alphabet and needed to have something fun and perky in his room.
I'm pretty pleased with it. I think I'll add something to the letter "Q" - not quite sure what though. It was fun to make and I'm proud that I actually sat down and created something for B's room.
