Hello, April!

I'm so glad it's a new month. April, I've wanted to see you for a while.

The first 3 months of this new year have really not been pleasant for us. Let's be truthful. They've actually sucked. Yes, I know that's coarse talk but it's true and it's honest. March in particular. It was the worst.

Other than Bennett's birthday, March was terribly unpleasant and I've never been so grateful for a change. Between all the sickness we've had, such as ear infections, sinus infections, yeast infections, bacterial infections, coughs, and drippy noses, we've also had eating strikes by a certain 1 year old causing weight loss, a miscarriage, strange rash on cheeks and arms, and allergies galore. We've gone through numerous Kleenex boxes and rolls of toilet paper when we've run out of tissues on which to blow all these noses.

It's been trying to say the least. And even my "always look on the bright side of things" husband has agreed it's been hard. I've been cranky and discouraged and tired and discouraged and overwhelmed and discouraged and ready to just throw in the towel and cry "uncle" on more than one occasion.

So, I'm hopeful that this next quarter of the year will be better than the last. I'm hopeful that April joys will replace the tears of March. There are several good things coming our way in April and it gives me something to look forward to, to anticipate, plan for and welcome with open arms.

I'm glad it's a new month. I'm glad March is behind us. Hello, April. Welcome.

I too am welcoming April. March was horrible for us as well--only 7 non sick days between Feb 22 and April 1. Hope April brings health and healing (both physically and emotionally).

Hi Megan,

So sorry about your loss, sending gentle hugs to you. We lost before we had Ruth, so can empathise a little with how you feel.

Treat yourselves gently,

Love Di x
