Family visit

My brother, Kevin, and his wonderful family came out to visit us for the weekend!!! We so much appreciated their sacrifice to come see us. Having have made that trek too many times to count, I know how difficult it can be to drive, especially with 3 little girls! But, we had a great time showing them a piece of our world down here in Texas.

They had planned on arriving in the afternoon on Friday, but decided mid-way through their drive to come all the way and arrived on Thursday evening instead. That meant we had a full day to play and I was so glad that they pushed through and came the night before their expected arrival! :)

We had a hail storm blow through on Thursday night which brought incredibly high winds on Friday. Really, really strong winds! Our "picnic" turned into eating at a restaurant and then playing at the park.

The bluebonnets were in full bloom last weekend, but we still had to try to get some cousin pictures of them, even though they were waning fast. I had seen one little patch of them nearby so we headed over there after playing at the park.

Sarah and her gang came over after church to join us for some faijtas. They are also friends with Amy and Kevin from days gone by. Kc blew up our little pool and even though it wasn't terribly warm out, the kids had a blast playing in the pool. Bennett and Sophia just ate sand and chalk. :)
