Playing out in the snow

Enough was enough. And we'd had enough of being cooped in the house. So, out we went for a short playtime in the snow. Even though we'd seen LOTS of snow in Indiana over Christmas, this was Bennett's first time to sit in it and taste it.

Here goes nothing!
Standing outside our front with Mommy
He's so unsure as to what all this white stuff is - I LOVE it!

Tasting snow for the 1st timeHe thinks, hmm, this is strange stuff.
Kc (l), Bennett (c), Megan (r) -- the family of snow angels!
He was NOT a fan of crawling through snow.
Ok. It's time to go in! Too bad you are too young for hot chocolate, little buddy! Some day ...

We all made snow angels, Bennett included, although he wasn't a huge fan of it. What he was a huge fan of was having his Dad take him on a "sleigh ride" down our street. Unfortunately, we don't have a picture of such event -- you'll just have to take my word for it. We looped a belt through a plastic laundry basket, lined it with a towel, and pulled Bennett up and down the street. He thought it was hysterical. And so did we. I wish we had gotten a picture of it because it was so ghetto and such a Southern way of playing in the snow. Out of control.

It was a great little family playtime and a much-needed relief from being stuck in the house for days on end!

Bennett, you look so cute! I wish I could play with you in the snow. It's one of my favorite things!
