Got it covered

I'm all set. There will be no "Heiny" flu for me!

At my monthly doctor's appointment yesterday, my doctor informed me that their office had gotten in the H1N1 vaccines and did I want one? I wasn't planning on getting one, simply because they were so scarce and I had no intention of driving all over the DFW area in search of a shot. But, since they had it and since she was only giving them to her 2nd and 3rd trimester patients (and only 33 of them at that), I decided to go for it.

I'm all shot up now. :)

In other pregnancy related news, I'm officially headed down the path of putting on weight for the baby. Since I got pregnant 23 weeks ago, I've officially gained 1 lb. I've come this far and now I'll need to psych myself up for the fact that it's o-k to put on weight -- makes for a healthier baby.

I figured this month would be a true weight gain. About one week ago or so, I was absolutely starving. Like needed a mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner and maybe something after that type of starving. Incidentally, the baby started moving a lot more right then and his movements were a lot stronger, so I'm guessing that he was growing a lot that week and needed the extra nutrients.

He's doing great. I'm doing great. Next appointment I get to have the glucose screening test. That'll be fun. And that's basically it for me!
