Kc had his Spring Break this past week. Unfortunately, going away for a week long vacay wasn't in the picture and he spent his break, sleeping in, catching up on his seminary class, and making dinner for me. What a fun and exciting week for him. Poor guy. :)
I did take one day off work (Thursday) and we lived it up. We stayed Wednesday night in a hotel that was nice, but still under renovation construction. Maybe that's why we got such a great deal??? We spent Thursday touring the King Tutankhamun exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art. We enjoyed the exhibit, but we were both disappointed that Egypt decided to keep the most precious relics and let all the little items tour. We had both been excited about seeing the mask and the actual coffin. Alas, the "biggest" piece was the urn that held King Tut's liver (or some organ). Woo hoo. But, it was nice to see such ancient relics, to discuss what life must've been like for the Egyptians, their religion, and to just spend the day together. We ate out at nice restaurants, thanks to gift cards from Trinity families.
Friday night, our wonderful friends visiting from Indy, Andrew and Alaina, came over for dinner and an evening of fellowshipping. It was great to have them in our home and to spend some quality time catching up and sharing life with them. They were in town for the wedding of a high school friend of ours.
Saturday, we all attended the wedding of Jason and Courtney! They are married and it was a beautiful ceremony. (I'm stealing pictures from Jen because we used up all our batteries at the museum and didn't recharge them in time. Thanks, friend!)

Friends since high school -- that's a very long time ago :) (and why is my hair so poofy on the sides?? Seriously, Meg)
Jason and Courtney MayesAfter the wedding on Saturday, we swung by our friends, the Shipps, and took sweet Nora and Joseph out for some Chik-Fil-A action and let them run amuck on the play equipment and then stopped off at Target for a bit. So fun and so cute! And how ever do parents do it? Seriously. I have a whole new appreciation for parents who take their kiddos anywhere. :)
Sunday we spent lunching with Jen and the Falks and then crashed at home ... thanks to Daylight Savings ... we were both exhausted.
And that was the full weekend. Back to the grind. [sigh]

Woohoo! So good to see pictures. I'm SO jealous that you all were together and we couldn't be there =(. Looks like it was such a fun time.
HAHA! I'm lovin' your poofy hair. You should really fix it like that more often ;). Cute dress!
