No longer got it

Last night, after I finished watching my favoritest show and quasi watching the President's address to Congress (which we turned off after about 10 minutes), my husband and I played Dutch Blitz.

Which is my most favoritest game in the whole, wide world. I mean, I luuuv that game. And, I'm a speed demon, which means I'm super, DUPER fast at it. Lightning fast. I see cards that other people should play from their own hand, plus watching my own hand, and still manage to pull in big numbers. I love this game so much, it was even part of the center of activities of my 16th birthday bash shared with my dear friend, Mary (Burres) Farrand. I'm not kidding when I say I luuuv this game.

And last night .... I lost. Shamelessly. My fingers were flying. My brain was racing. I was even able to keep telling Kace when to play his cards. And I STLL lost.

51-100+.

I'm not even joking.

My life is over. I've lost my midas touch when it comes to Dutch Blitz. I don't think I'll ever be the same.

I need to get this game for our kids. We never had it growing up, but I loved it at friends' houses.

Wow...I remember how crazy fast you are/were at Blitz. Maybe you'll get the groove back sometime soon.

Oh.my.goodness. now there are some serious memories. Can you and Jen wait until I'm in town to get together to play? Oh, wait. Maybe we could just make that the new Thanksgiving tradition?
