I've Been Tagged

Amy informed me that I've been tagged.

I guess the "rules" are that you have to list 8 random things about yourself and then tag 8 other people to do it, leaving comments on their blog that they've been tagged. Too bad everyone I know has been tagged before me, so I've got no one to do this mean thing to. :) Oh well. If you feel so inclined, do it to yourself!

Okay, here are the first eight random things I could think of about myself.

1) When I was very little and living in San Antonio, I was bit by a scorpion that had crept into our house and found me while I was sleeping on the floor in Kevin's room. He, the strong big brother that he is, killed it the next morning. For years, I was terrified of sleeping on floors.

2) I had 6 different roommates during college -- 2 of them left in the middle of the year, leaving me with my own room.

3) The strangest thing I ate while living in China was Turtle soup, with pieces of the turtle shell still in the soup! The nastiest thing I ever ate was at the campus cafeteria and it tasted like barf. Some egg/tofu concoction. I had to smile while swallowing to keep myself from gagging in front of my student.

4) I've been to 12 different countries ... and the airport of 2 others.

5) When I was first born, my parents named me Allison. After more consideration (and my Dad telling my Mom -- "This girl has brown hair and doesn't look like an 'Allison'") they called all their family and friends and informed them that my name had been changed to "Megan".

6) I enjoy making up words to songs that I can't remember the lyrics for -- drives my husband crazy!

7) I've gone repelling from the catwalks in the theatre at C'ville Univ. (shh - don't tell!)

8) My jaw was locked for almost 3 months my senior year of high school, only allowing about 1.5 fingers width to go in.
