I've been back in the US for almost a week. It's a little strange being back but good all at the same time. It's the same but very different. Familiarity yet newness. I'm still adjusting and yet I find myself back in the same routine.
It is good to be back in America. I had a few tears escape from my eyes last night as I watched the downtown fireworks. Having lived in another country (and that country specifically being China) for a year, freedom and what our country stands for means a whole lot more. This is a good place. Yes, we have our faults, but this country ... this place I call "home" ... yah, it's good to be back.
