It's great being off-campus and such ... it really is. Yes, there are the drawbacks like when there is absolutely no food in the frig or in the pantry and I realize that I'm the one that has to go do the shopping in order to get food -- Mom isn't there to do it. Sadness. Or having to come up with creative ways to keep the electric bill from skyrocketing once we turn on the heat. Or not having any friends cuz they all still live on campus ... These are drawbacks. Trust me.
But a plus and the real bonus is the fact that I'm no longer under the time demands of a curfew. :) Fabulous. I haven't been out past "curfew" in the past couple of weeks, so last night was kind of a novelty and an experience.
Chief presented CAB with 6 boxes and laid out 6 $xx bills and told us to get a group together and go fill a box for "Operation Christmas Child". So, all the off-campus CAB boys (Jason, Mark, and Thomas) and Meg decided to go to Meijer at 12:30 last night and fill not one, but two boxes for small children. It was great. We were arguing and discussing what we could put in the boxes, who would do the girl box, should it be entirely made up of candy (I was screaming no!!), or what. I loved it. Especially the fact that we didn't get home until almost 2am. Yeah for being off-campus and having late night adventures to Meijer. It was fun. Seriously.

Sounds like smashing good fun! I did a box for OCC, and even though I shopped by myself, it was still fun. Good job on voting no on all the candy... your mom would be proud. I'll see you next week at Thanksgiving. Love ya! ~Em
