Pumpkin Patch Fail

The children and I went to our pumpkin patch this morning. We stayed an hour and thirty minutes and that was an hour and twenty-five minutes too long. 

It was too hot, too sunny, not enough shade, too many flies (for some certain little boys), too hot, too expensive pumpkins, too hot and just too hot . 

(sigh) Sometimes I wonder if it's worth all the trouble to have "fun". 

Grant's face perfectly sums up ALL of our thoughts about the pumpkin patch. 

Oh, we sure tried to have fun and make it worth the effort but a sane mind prevailed and we hastily made our exit. 

Which was great, because well, we needed to rush home and have no one nap and make messes like this: 

Sigh. 

Is it bedtime yet???
