Bennett Boy,
You turned 7 months today.
Mommy's tired, so this post is going to be short and without pictures. Sorry, buddy, some days are like that. :)
You go in a couple of days to get some shots so I'll get your official weight check then, but according to your Mii character on Daddy's Wii Fit Plus, you weigh in at 18.5 lbs. You are still growing and changing every day!
(Yes, you have a little Mii character. Your daddy and I have fun playing with you, you sweet little boy.)
You've officially mastered the art of sitting. You are quite pleased with this new skill and I am too! You can sit without any help for upwards of 15 minutes! I plop you on the floor with some toys when I go get ready in the morning and when I return, you are still there, chewing away on your soft blocks or balls.
When we come to get you from your crib when you awake, you are pushing up on your arms, but not quite there in getting on your knees. I'm o-k with that. Crawling will come when it comes. I'm just enjoying having you be able to sit whenever I put you down.
You LOVE all foods that we give you. This month, we've added mango, pears, peaches, butternut squash and whole-grain cereal to your repertoire. We've also started giving you rice puffs to let you play with while we are eating our dinner. You are getting better every day at picking them up with your fingers and then transferring them to your mouth. I'd say your ratio is 1:5. Not bad. :)You still sit in your Bumbo seat to eat your meals; I think both daddy and I are hesitant to get out your highchair - that just makes it seem so official that you are growing up so incredibly fast!
This past month has brought a big change as far as your social life is concerned. Every week you get to attend BSF with Mommy and learn about God and Isaiah. Your teachers are 2 sweet ladies who pray for you every week and love to hold you when you get to class. You've only cried once, and that was because you were so tired from skipping your morning nap. It's rough being a baby.
You are also going to MOPS with me, but we go every other week. The ladies there tell me that they fight over who gets to hold you. I don't blame them. I'd want to hold you too and have you smile at me!
Daddy and I think the world of you, little boy, and we give God thanks for allowing us the privilege of being your parents!!
