Great Memories

In addition to missing certain aspects of China, I also (kinda) miss biking in crazy, rush hour (or on a busy Saturday afternoon like this video) traffic. It was a thrill, a rush, an adventure.

This video was taken during the first month of my time in China. I took the video in order to "assure" my mom that I'd be quite safe in my biking excursions.

HA.

Enjoy the two videos. :)

We (my 5 other teammates) were on our way home from touring the Old Summer Palace. And this is the street where our school was located. This is what we did ... every time we wanted to go to the grocery store. Or anywhere for that matter.

Imagine biking in this type of congestion, with a dozen eggs in your bike basket, plastic grocery bags brimming with food hanging off handle bars, and a loaded rack on the back of your bike. Try maneuvering around buses and cars, making sure you don't tip over with the weight of your groceries, ringing your bike bell, and still managing to get home in one piece -- yah, I miss it. :)
